5. Guadalupe Monastery: UNESCO, and awarded with the sole Priztker award in Spain, Rafael Moneo is responsible for the extensions that were made at the end of the 20th century in the great monastery. It is true that the aesthetic (and logical) restrictions demanded in defense of heritage did not give him many wings to pull off a reinvention of Mudejar art, but it did leave some discreet brushstroke of his genius in the new dining room of the inn and in the gateway to this. Small details such as the use of copper or the zigzag entrance claim the portion of modernity, although perhaps Moneo’s greatest achievement is that nothing squeaks and that glory continues to be taken by the rest of the impressive monastery.

10. Jerte Valley and natural springs: Finales de marzo y principios de abril, es el momento de la floración, de los más de un millón de cerezos, que hay en el Valle del Jerte. La delicadeza de su flor blanca cubre, como si de una leve nevada se tratara, las laderas de las sierras. Es sin duda uno de los espectáculos naturales más impresionantes de Extremadura y no debes perdértelo. Además, podremos ver cascadas de agua cristalina, en rincones absolutamente mágicos. Pasearemos por sendas en mitad de los robledales y castañares centenarios, veremos varios castaños de entre 250 y 800 años, verdaderas catedrales naturales escondidas del bullicio de la gente. Os hablaremos de la historia del Valle y de la aparición de las cerezas como “eje central” de la vida actual de sus habitantes, que con su buen hacer han conseguido que hoy en día se produzca la mejor cereza del mundo, producto amparado bajo el sello de Denominación de Origen.

11. Monfragüe National Park: Un recorrido en vehículos 4×4 acompañados de un guía experto que desde el año 2.002 se dedica a enseñar los tesoros de Monfragüe. El Parque Nacional de Monfragüe es uno de los mejores lugares de Europa para ver animales salvajes y por ello hemos diseñado un recorrido con el que podremos mostrarle las principales especies que habitan esta zona, en las diferentes épocas del año: Águila imperial, Águila Real, Búho real, Buitre negro, Buitre leonado, Alimoche común,  Águila  azor-perdicera,  Halcón  peregrino,  Cigüeña  negra,  Abejarucos, Ciervo,  Zorro, Nutria, reptiles y un largo listado de especies que habitan Monfragüe. Nuestro recorrido combina desplazamientos por carretera que nos llevan a los mejores lugares para observar fauna: roquedos cerca del río o miradores que nos permite ver paisajes espectaculares y llenos de vida.
