FARO

The historic center of Faro is a must for lovers of the Middle Age. It is known as Vila Adentro or Cidade Velha and is delimited by a medieval wall that was largely destroyed by the 1755 earthquake and that still preserves elements from other civilizations such as the Byzantine towers or the Arab gate. The narrow and cobbled streets (full of balcony full of flowers) lead you through the great cultural and artistic heritage of the city.
